Half Baked Religion

Now, I must ask: Are your actions motivated by the hearing of faith? If so, why then have you forgotten the Word? Leave politics alone.
I support a Christian’s right to exercise religious freedom and to be free from government bias against Christian values. Though, sometimes when Christians speak about morality, there seems to be a disconnect from Scripture and a strong tether to self-made religion, which often is an amalgamation of the Bible and pseudo-intellectual precepts that produce notably Spirit-less works that do not glorify the Lord. Consider, for example, the Colorado baker who refused to bake for a gay couple because of his conviction. The Bible says homosexuality is an abomination; of this there is no doubt. However, the Bible also calls heterosexual people abominable when they have intercourse before marriage, live together before marriage, watch pornography, or perform lewd acts. Those deeds constitute sin in God’s view, and neither fornication nor lasciviousness become acceptable because the occurrence is between a man and woman. Neither become permissible because the man and woman claim to be Christians, who can just repent (Cannot the gay couple repent, as well?). Moreover, there is no such thing as a “carnal Christian.” That is the ultimate oxymoronical error; thus, it is not legalistic to say that Christians are supposed to rely on His grace for the ability to refrain from sin. The Lord did not intend for us to use His sacrifice frivolously. Are we to sin that grace may abound? I was reprobate and no stranger to immoral ways, but I thank the Lord for convicting and changing me. So, yes, repent when you sin, but do not take sin lightly (Have you the spirit of the world or the Spirit of grace?). And always be merciful. We must stop wresting Scripture to accommodate carnality. We have not so learned Christ when we do such things. Hence, I wonder if the baker also refuses to bake for heterosexual people who fornicate and are perverse? As a Christian, your doctrine must align with Scripture, or else it is hypocrisy, nothing more. You cannot stand halfway.
I am just writing to make you understand what a notable experience my wife’s girl had using your web site. She mastered so many pieces, which included what it is like to possess an excellent helping nature to let other people with ease learn some problematic things. You truly surpassed people’s expected results. Thank you for producing these precious, trusted, informative and in addition fun tips about this topic to Lizeth.
